Some may have seen the NatGeo program on the history of beer from its invention to today. At one point the US had nearly 300 major breweries including 4 right here in Wilmington. That number declined to 80 breweries in 1980 when mini-breweries and brew pubs began a renewal of beer brewing and a major change in the marketplace.
Many consumers now favor local brews over major brands and Delaware is now home to five significant breweries and countless home brewers. Why not try to see if the Turners could begin a small beer brewing system in the club? ( We believe anyone can brew up to 500 gallons without special permits or legal approval. Although we need to check on this.) IF we get the recipe and process right, a Turners brew pub could be a future pathway. More information to follow…
